I was just dianosed with vn about a month ago. Which came out of nowhere. I havent been sick or have i had a head injury. Im 26 years old and im hoping it goes away completely! As i have a son to take car of and right now i cant go out in public its hard focusing while im walkin and i always have to look downwards in a lower position. I think im getting a little better because the sensation of tilting an vomitting are gone. Now i jus have to deal with working on my balance and some light ringing in my ears. I go to a therapist and do head exercises. Sucks because i want to feel normal and drive again!! Miss the simple things we take for granted. Only time i feel normal is when im sitting/slash laying down! Hope this helps for anyone having same symptoms

I feel exactly the same thing , I also have imbalance like 24/7 , i feel some disorientation too , and eye pressure . I've been like this for 3 years and Im only 22 years old , I've trough many exams and they couldnt find anything 'wrong' . I also function and act normal , although Im always with desequilibrium , while standing , while walking , just all the time , and this disorientation goes with it , it feels like my eyes cant handle de movements , this feeling gets worst in place where theres a lot of movement and things like supermarkets , malls , crowed places . Does anyone feels like this ?

I'm glad I could help (of course, I'd be happier if no one ever had to experience this). I think it's certainly a tough thing to understand, but I think it's also normal for you to feel frustrated. It's upsetting to see a loved one go through something that is both invisible to you and that you can't do anything about. I'm sure it's tough to understand where he's coming from.

Before I ever had any balance issues, my sister went through the same thing -- and I remember thinking, why can't she just snap out of it? It can't be that bad.

Was I ever wrong. I wish your loved one and yourself all the best, and I hope he has a speedy recovery. Thanks for you comment.

Thanks for sharing your experience with dizziness and vertigo. I have a loved one who is dealing with very similar circumstances and I have to admit that I don't always understand where he's coming from. Sometimes it can get somewhat frustrating. But I always remind myself that he's not choosing to do any of this and I just try to be as supportive as I can.

Thanks for helping me understand.
